ONE OF OUR CLIENT'S RECENT CHARTER EXPERIENCES

We provide a bespoke charter experience for all our clients.

08.45am – Your limousine will collect you from your home and take you to London City Airport to board a private plane that is waiting to whisk you off to the beauty and decadence of the Cote d’ Azur.

10.00am – On arrival at the airport you will be welcomed by the Captain and his flight crew and your luggage will be stowed aboard.

10.10am – Once you are comfortable and having been given permission to take off the captain will begin the short flight to Cannes Mandelieu private airport.

11.30am – (French time) On arrival at Cannes Mandelieu airport, a helicopter will be ready to take you the short journey to Monaco and the waiting luxury yacht that will be your 5 star chic boutique hotel on water for the coming days.

SATURDAY: MONACO – MONTE CARLO

On arrival you will be welcomed onboard by the Skipper and his crew. Once you have had the opportunity to accustom yourself to your opulent surroundings, the Skipper will carry out a short safety briefing before taking the yacht out of the marina for an afternoon of shoreline cruising, or if you prefer an afternoon of sunbathing and water sports.

As the late afternoon sun begins to cool an aperitif will be served before the yacht returns to Monaco for the evening.

In the early evening a limousine will be waiting to take you to The Hotel de Paris and its famous Le Louis XV restaurant, where a table has been reserved for you. The Casino Monte Carlo and Jimmy’z Bar, the premier nightclub in Monte Carlo have also been told to expect you later in the evening.

SUNDAY: MONTE CARLO – CAP D’ ANTIBES

Today is a day of discovery. After a laidback morning your breakfast will be served on the flybridge of the yacht - so that you can take in the panoramic view and enjoy the ambience that is Monaco. After breakfast why not visit the wonderful chic boutiques of Monte Carlo.

Late morning enjoy the exhilaration as the yacht cruises to Cap d’ Antibes, known as the jewel of the Cote d’ Azur. Cap d’ Antibes located on a peninsula between Nice and Cannes is the second home to many Hollywood film stars and a retreat for the rich and famous. This beautiful resort has a wonderful array of historic squares and picturesque streets. Artists such as Picasso have lived in Antibes, famed for its clear sunlight and of course it’s beautiful views of the bay. Why not have a drink or lunch at the famous Eden Roc Hotel?

Just behind Cap d’ Antibes you will find Juan-les-Pins with its sandy beaches lined with dense pine trees. In the afternoon the yacht can head out to the bay for an afternoon of swimming and relaxation, or for the more adventurous we can arrange for the limousine to take you to Saint Paul De Vance. An enchanting medieval city that is full of artisan shops and cafés untouched by time.

MONDAY: CAP D’ ANTIBES – CANNES

This morning the yacht will head out and gently hug the shoreline as she cruises across to Cannes, known for its international film festival. On arrival the yacht will join the other large luxury yachts anchored in the bay overlooking the golden beaches that edge the shoreline. Why not take a swim in the bay – it’s one of the warmest places to swim on the Cote d Azure - the sun warms the shallow sandy seabed. Or for the more adventurous why not water ski along the bay.

In the early evening the yacht will anchor in the marina beneath the ancient stone walled castle. The castle of Cannes is located above the old town and offers wonderful views of La Croisette, the bay of Cannes and the Lérins islands, which you will be visiting tomorrow. Should you still have any energy left, the castle is located within a short ten minute walk from the yacht.

Later in the evening a limousine will be waiting to take you to The Carlton Hotel for dinner and a table has been reserved for you on the Carlton Terrace overlooking the bay and the palm tree lined Croisette. Throughout the summer there are a number of spectacular firework displays that take place in the bay each evening.

TUESDAY: CANNES – LERINS ISLANDS

After a relaxing morning the yacht will cruise across the bay to the Ile St Honorat and the Ile St Marguerite, which form the Lérins islands. Ile St Honorat is the smaller of the two Islands and home to the Cistercian monastery dating back to the 11th Century. The island is a quiet, tranquil place to visit as there are no cars on the island, with the exception of the Cistercian monks tending their vines with the monastery tractor. There is a rule of silence around the monastery and a rule of quiet for the remainder of the island as the monks are the only inhabitants living on the island.

A walk around the island and a visit to the Monastery takes nearly three hours. On your return, the yacht will cruise the short distance to moor in the shallow, protected "Plateau du Milieu"; between the islands where a glass of wine together with traditional made bread and honey will be served for you to sample-all three are made locally by the Cistercian monks on the islands.

Later the yacht’s tender will take you to the Ile St Marguerite famous for its striking fortress prison that housed the famous prisoner `the Man in the Iron Mask` in the 17th Century. The quaint fishing village of Sainte-Marguerite is also located on the island and is well worth a visit. Alternatively, after a morning of sightseeing you may prefer an afternoon of swimming and water sports – If so, the yacht will moor on the landward side of the island where there is plenty of room for waterskiing and other water sports.

WEDNESDAY: LERINS ISLANDS – ST TROPEZ

This section of the coast is beautiful and a good time to pass the morning sunbathing on deck and taking in the sights.

For lunch the yacht will anchor near the shoreline while the yacht’s jet tender takes you to one of the most revered hotels on the French Riviera `Club les Palmiers` A beachfront restaurant with all white décor that serves exquisitely presented food.

In the late afternoon after cocktails have been served the yacht will make it way to its berth in the marina at St Tropez for the night.

After you have rested and changed for dinner the limousine will take you to the glamorous VIP Room; St Tropez’s iconic restaurant and night club - where a few of your fellow diners will probably be some of the worlds `A` list celebrities.

THURSDAY: ST TROPEZ – IIES D HYERES

You may prefer to relax on board this morning to see and be seen, or you may prefer to visit St Tropez for some further retail therapy.

Later the yacht will head for Iles d Hyères and the main island of Porquerolles, the largest of the three islands, which became a nature reserve over thirty years ago, thus protecting the islands from any unsightly housing or hotel developments. Iles d Hyères are known for their beautiful golden beaches and unspoilt landscape – the ideal location to relax and unwind.

As soon as you arrive at Porquerolles you will surely be captivated by the island and the traditional houses surrounded by lush vegetation. Just beyond the quayside you can hire bikes to explore the island and its village with its large square and beautiful church, a cluster of several shops and cafes and restaurants, where you can eat outside. Should you have the energy to venture in land along the shady paths you will come across a wealth of picturesque vineyards that cross the island.

In the evening the yacht will anchor off Ile de Porquerolles for the night, but not before you have had the opportunity to sample `le Mas du Langoustier`; a sanctuary of gastronomy, hidden between pines and eucalyptus trees. The finest and most delicates dishes will be enjoyed with a bottle of "Domaine de l'île” rosé wine from the Island.

FRIDAY: ILES D HYRES (PORQUEROLLES) – VILLFRANCHE - BEAULIEU

Today is definitely less strenuous than yesterday with a relaxing day ahead of you. This morning after breakfast the yacht will slowly cruise across to Villefranche and another great opportunity to relax and pass the morning sunbathing on deck while taking in the sights and sounds of the Cote d’ Azur!

Villefranche with it lovely small harbour situated in the heart of the medieval city is the ideal location from where to explore its narrow streets and citadel. Created in 1295 by Charles II d’Anjou Villefranche has kept its picturesque charm and is a surprising quiet and tranquil place.

In the afternoon, the yacht will head out to the bay and hug the shoreline, passing Cap Ferrat and on to the quaint historic town of Beaulieu. Beaulieu Ser Mare, as its name suggests, is one of the oldest -established resort towns on the French Riviera. Protected from the winds blowing down from the Alps by a range of nearby hills, Beaulieu has become known locally as `Little Africa` famed for its mild climate.

Over a century ago during the Victorian era, Beaulieu was popular with English aristocracy who spent the winter relaxing in the mild climate. Surprisingly Beaulieu boasts a traditional English Victorian seafront – a strange sight to behold in the heart of the Cote d’ Azur.

In the evening, why not visit `Les Agaves`, well known for its traditional French cuisine.

SATURDAY: BEAULIEU - MONACO

After a relaxing morning onboard the yacht and if you still have any energy, you may wish to make the most of your final hours on board and anchor in the bay for a final swim.

Later the yacht will return to Monaco in time for your waiting helicopter that will take you to your private plane and homeward journey to London City Airport.

Travel and local Information - MIPIM 2010

Nice International Airport: The vast majority of people who are exhibiting or visiting MIPIM usually arrive on the Cote d’ Azur via Nice International Airport. Nice International Airport has flight connections to most major cities within Europe, the Middle East, Africa and North America. There are two Terminals within the airport and a free airport shuttle links the terminals and car parks. Shuttle buses connecting the two terminals run throughout the day and the journey time between each terminal is five minutes, so you won’t have to wait long for a bus.

Car Hire: For those choosing to drive to Cannes from Nice airport you will be glad to know that all the major car hire companies are represented and include Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, SIXT and National Citer. The car hire desks can be found on the arrivals levels at both terminals. Most hire cars are located on the far side of the multi-storey car parks on Terminal 2 and are accessed via the pedestrian walkway between the two car parks. The connecting road system surrounding the airport is excellent but is always busy. Cannes is reached via the A8 or RN 98.

Rail: SNCF run an excellent punctual service. Gare St Laurent du Var has rail links to Cannes and is 3km (2 miles) from Terminal 1 - there are three bus routes connecting to this station. Gare Nice St Augustin is a nearby station, reported on some information websites as being within walking distance of Terminal 1. Having used Gare Nice St Augustin on a number of occasions, we can confidently say that the station is a twenty minute walk from the airport and with luggage and two major roads to negotiate it is easier to get a taxi to Gare St Laurent du Var. Also, Gare Nice St Augustin offers a limited service to Cannes.

Bus; RCA (Rapides Côte d’ Azur Ouest) provides the TAM Bus service that connects Nice Airport to Cannes. Ticket offices can be found both at Terminal 1 & Terminal 2. (At Terminal 2 the ticket office is on the right hand side as you exit the terminal building – it’s not that easy to find). The bus runs from both Terminals.

Buses run every half hour between 0800hr – 2000hr (Time tables and route maps can be found on the RCA website via our website links page). The average journey time is approximately 35 - 45 minutes depending on traffic. Recently RCA have changed the bus route to Cannes, which has improved both journey times and punctuality.

The RCA (Rapides Côte d’ Azur Ouest) bus stop at Cannes is located outside the Town Hall and from the bus stop you will be able to see the MIPIM exhibition hall just to the left, on the opposite side of the road at the Palais des Festivals. Most major hotels are to be found on Boulevard de la Croisette that edges the sea and are ten minutes walk from the bus stop. The cost for a return bus ticket to Cannes from Nice International Airport is 23.20€ per person (Price Oct 08)

Taxi: Taxis are available 24hrs and the taxi stands are to be found outside the Arrivals Halls at both terminals. The average cost of a taxi to the centre of Cannes is 80.00€ (Price 0ct 08) Taxis will only accept payment by cash and do not take credit cards.

Helicopter: NICE HELICOPTERES run a regular service to Cannes every 15 minutes, with a journey time of 7 minutes.

Cannes Private Airport: Cannes – Mandelieu Airport is located 8km (5 miles) west of Cannes and is one of France’s leading private airports dating back to 1930. At one time it was the only airport on the Cote d’ Azur. The journey time to the centre of Cannes is 10 minutes.

Eat & Drink in Cannes: Restaurant `La Villa des Lys` is located on the ground floor of the Hotel Majestic and is one of Cannes finest restaurants and has won numerous awards including the Clé d'Or de la Gastronomi and a Michelin Star. Restaurant `La Palme d'Or` – is a 2 Star Michelin Restaurant, which is located at the Hotel Martinez. It is advisable to reserve a table weeks in advance of MIPIM.

For those on a slightly smaller company expense account during MIPIM there are some great restaurants and bars to be found within a short walk of the Palais des Festivals such as Brasserie Le Claridge, Le Cristal, Caffe Roma, Farfalla and La Piazza. Lunch times and evenings are particularly busy but there are enough bars and restaurants to ensure you will not have to wait long for a table.
